Toti sings all morning, all afternoon and all evening.
يغنّي توتي طوال الصباح، وطوال الظهر، وطوال المساء.
Next day he opens his beak… “Squeak.” His voice is tired!
في اليوم التالي يفتح منقاره… «سيك.» صوته متعب!
Bilo brings warm water with honey. “Rest your voice, Toti.”
يُحضر بيلو ماءً دافئاً مع العسل. «أرِح صوتك يا توتي.»
Toti can’t sing, so he claps and taps a drum instead.
لا يستطيع توتي أن يغنّي، فيصفّق ويطرق الطبل بدلاً من ذلك.
Boom, clap, boom! The friends dance to Toti’s beat.
بوم، تصفيق، بوم! يرقص الأصدقاء على إيقاع توتي.
Two days later, his voice is back. “Thank you for waiting!”
بعد يومين، عاد صوته. «شكراً لأنكم انتظرتم!»
