Bilo Asks for Help

Bilo helps everyone. He is always the one who helps.

Today Bilo wants to pick one red apple for Moni.

But the apple is high, and Bilo cannot reach it.

He tries again. And again. His arms grow tired.

“I should be able to do this,” says Bilo, very quietly.

Moni sits down beside him. “Asking is not giving up,” she says.

So Rio jumps, Tiko holds the tree, and Bilo catches the apple.

“Kind hearts help,” says Bilo. “And kind hearts ask.”
